Cupcake Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1 tsp cocoa powder

1 1/2 cups vegetable oil

1 cup buttermilk

2 large eggs

1 bottle (1oz) red food coloring

1 tsp apple cider vinegar

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

In a medium bowl mix all dry ingredients and sift twice.

In a larger bowl, mix all the wet ingredients and whisk them well together - it's going to turn really red!

Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture (little by little) until well combined.

Fill cupcake liners 3/4 full

Bake for about 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cupcake comes out clean.

Cream Cheese Frosting

1 lb of cream cheese

2 sticks of butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

4 cups of sifted powdered sugar

Mix the butter until smooth and creamy. Add the cream cheese and mix well. Slowly add the powdered sugar until it's well incorporated - then mix at a higher speed until fluffy. Add the vanilla and mix well.

Frost your cupcakes!
