Moist and Fluffy Vanilla Cupcake Recipe

Ok so get ready for this cupcake recipe! It is SUPER easy and so very moist and fluffy.

The fluffiness comes from the fact that you cream the sugar and butter for about 7 minutes - it incorporates more air into the mixture and makes the cupcakes so nice and fluffy!

The recipe is so easy because it calls for self-rising flour. You dont have to worry about mixing cake flour, all-purpose flour, salt and baking soda or powder - that's just to fussy!

So here it is... give it a try!

Special Note: Make sure all of your ingredients are at room temperature!

Cupcake Ingredients:

1 cup (sticks) of butter at room temperature

2 cups of sugar

4 eggs at room temperature

3 cups of sifted self-rising flour

1 cup of whole milk at room temperature

1/2 teaspoon butter flavoring

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract


Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare your cupcake tins with cupcake liners and set aside.

Using your mixer, cream butter until fluffy. Add sugar and continue to cream for about 7 minutes. (low speed)

Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each egg has been added.

Add the flour and milk - alternating the two - beginning and ending with the flour.

Add vanilla and butter flavor - mix until incorporated.

Fill your cupcake liners 3/4 full.

Bake for 18-20 minutes.

Cool on a wire rack. Frost as your dear heart desires. Eat and enjoy!!
